The Ministry Of Education is warning the public about a fake message circulating online, falsely claiming to be from ministry of education facebook page.
The false notice says that all schools in Fiji are closing from today until Monday, October 6th, due to a supposed outbreak of monkeypox, with 35 new cases being reported. The Ministry clarifies that no such announcement has been made, and all schools are open and running as normal with no plans for closure.
In partnership with the Ministry of Health, The Ministry Confirms that there are no cases of monkeypox in Fiji.
TRhe public is urged to rely only on official sorce for information and to be cautious about sharing or believing anything from unofficial outlets. The Ministry emphasizes that the circualting message is completely untrue.
