The Vodafone Fiji bati team is aiming to bounce back after losing 32-12 to Papua New Guinea in last year Pacific Cup championship final they will face the PNG Kumuls in the first match this weekend.

Team captain Tui Kamikamica said the players still remember last years loss and are determined to make things right this time. He believes the squad chosen by head coach Wise Kativerata has the skill and strength to win.

“We’re looking for a bit of revenge, especially since we’re playing in Fiji this time. It’s been a long time since we’ve played here, so we’re excited to bring rugby league back to Fiji and can’t wait for the match,” Kamikamica said.

The team had their first practice at Albert Park in suva this morning and will have another session tomorrow. The match against the PNG Kumuls will take place on Saturday at 8pm at the HFC Bank stadium in suva.
