In a tense matchup, Tennesse edged out Oklahoma with a 25-15 victory. The sooners fought hard, especially on defense, holding Tennessee to just 333 yards – nearly half of their usual 639- yard average. Oklahoma’s defense was a standout, proving they could disrupt one of the top offenses in the league.

However, despite this defensive performance, the sooners couldn’t close the gap. Late in the fourth quarter, Oklahoma had a chance to pull within one score, but their two point conversion attempt failed, effectively ending their comeback hopes.

Quarterback Michael Hawkins showed grit throughout the game. Though Oklahoma didn’t get the win, Hawkins’ effort left fans hopeful that with full four quarters, he has the potential to lead the team to future victories.

The sooners may not have claimed victory, but their defensive effort and Hawkins’ fight were bright spots in otherwise tough tonight.
